QCD at FAIR

QCD at FAIR brings together research on the strong interaction at GSI/FAIR. The project combines experimental opportunities using high-intensity hadron beams with the latest theoretical developments to address key questions in hadron physics and non-perturbative QCD. The focus is on the future scientific prospects of FAIR and the close collaboration between theory and experiment.

The project centers on the properties of hadrons, the structure of matter, and the behavior of QCD under extreme conditions. A key objective is to strategically combine the capabilities of the SIS100 accelerator and the FAIR experiments and to strengthen synergies between theory and experiment. This is intended to further establish FAIR as an internationally prominent center for modern hadron physics.
