Transport simulations

Understand what is happening in detail

The best experimental data is nothing without a theoretical foundation.

For the energy range studied at FAIR, so-called transport theories are the means of choice. Here one simulates the individual particles, their production, interaction and eventual decay.

From these data, one finally gains a deeper understanding of the collision and, above all, why the results look the way they do.

Several models are developed in parallel at the Helmholtz Research Academy Hesse for FAIR. This creates the unique opportunity to understand the physics in detail and to develop different approaches in parallel and with each other.
