Lattice Gauge Theory
Partly it is not possible to calculate the full theory. This is where the lattice gauge theory comes into play.

- received his doctorate in 1994 in Hamburg, where he also habilitated in 2001.
- Researches, among other things, on the early universe and on interactions of the lattice gauge theories
- has held a professorship in Theoretical Physics at Goethe University Frankfurt since 2010
