Lattice Gauge Theory
Partly it is not possible to calculate the full theory. This is where the lattice gauge theory comes into play.
Vita
- received his doctorate in 1993 in Wuppertal on lattice gauge theories
- he earned his second doctorate at the University of Groningen in the field of computer science
- In 2001 he habilitated on simulations of quantum chromodynamics again in Wuppertal
- researches supercomputing
- has held a professorship for Modular Supercomputing and Quantum Computing at Goethe University Frankfurt since 2020
